Additional information:

Town has a light probably since 1316, but at least since 1662. Current wooden quadruped structure situated on the pier head is a real copy of the structure disassembled in 1968. In the 1960s the light worked a while in combination with a second light on the waterfront more inland.  The fishing fleet of Hoorn can be recognized by HN as vessel registration.
